IBM RISC 6000 - SUN SPARC Ultra 80 - LINUX PC Cluster for Seismic Data Processing
ProMAX 3D - Focus 3D - SeisUP Software

Cervantes Recruiting Services provide IBM RS/6000 and Sun Sparc Ultra 80 workstations, these powerful platforms can be customized to meet your requirements of choose a powerful entry-level workstation ideal for drafting, design and software development, or a RISC6000 processor that handles high-performance graphics and floating-point applications like design, analysis and visualization. Focus 2D/3D and Promax 2D/3D processing software are available on these platforms.

The flexible scalable design of the RISC6000 or Ultra Sparc II processor , are a perfect fit for the wide range of seismic processing installation sizes. The RISC6000 configurations range from small, entry level, 2 to 8 nodes, systems suitable for shipboard processing, temporary sites close to field operations. This is ideal for lower volume operations in regional or district offices.

The RISC6000 is a global system providing capability to scale not only the processors but also I/O bandwidth, mass storage, memory, and switch RISC6000 so customers may scale their system upward as needs grow.

The RISC6000 offers Wide and Thin processor node types for greater performance and flexibility. The Wide node has a POWER2 microprocessor with a cycle time of 66.7 MHz, contains 256 KB data cache and 32 KB of instructional cache. Each Wide node has from 512 MB to 2 GB of memory, and 8 microchannel slots for supporting a wide array of I/O and network connections. An integrated SCSI adapter supports from 1 to 80 GB of local disk.

The RISC6000 offers two types of Thin nodes, both with the POWER2 architecture that operates at 66.7 MHz. Both thin node types have up to 512 Megabytes memory, 80 gigabytes of local disk, and 4 microchannel slots. The Thin Node comes standard with a level 1 cache containing 64 kilobytes of data cache and 32 kilobytes of instruction cache. An option for a new level 2 cache of 1 megabyte is available for applications requiring increased performance. The Thin Node 2 has data cache of 128 kilobytes and a 2 megabyte level 2 cache option is available for applications requiring a further performance boost.
